DCS World 2.5 Open Beta

Large update to DCS yesterday. Tried downloading overnight but my internet must have dropped out or something as I had to do it again today to get it all working.

Also SRS has had an update and 39th SeaQuark has applied it to the KOREA 1952 server.

Yeh this is a big one. I'm counting 11,037 Mbs so give yourself lots of time. I just started mine 7 PM local and it will probably run most of the night.

Speed

Download failed overnight. I was getting about 10% per hour so figured it would take about 7.5 hours, but when I got up this morning the computer was locked, screen was black and I had to do a hard reboot to get it restarted. When I checked DCS by starting the sim, it asked if I wanted to update again.

Since I'm streaming the IMSA races today, I'll try again tonight.

Advice, don't wait until Saturday to start this download just in case you have the same problems that Devil and I experienced.

Since the third update to the DCS World 2.5 Open Beta, the team has focused their efforts on loading time, memory leaks, and performance issues in the Open Beta. In this 4th update, we believe we have largely addressed these issues. For those taking part in the DCS World 2.5 Open Beta, we look forward to your feedback, and once we feel confident these issues have been resolved, we will move DCS World 2.5 out of Open Beta.

As well as Update 4 there was a hotfix. The version number on the bottom right corner of the first screen should be 2.5.0.15184.

Another update was released on Friday.

This one is 5695 MBs so likely to take some time to complete.

Please ensure you finish the download before flight time at 2400 hrs Zulu today.
