Tacview - ACM Analysis
Just used Tacview for the first time and it's amazing. Devil was right when he pointed out how powerful this is when used as an analytical tool. The beauty of this system is that it takes the guesswork out of awarding scores as it lists full details of any engagement and indicates who scored damage and who is awarded credit for a kill.
Tacview is most valuable for the analysis of ACM as you can track your movements against the Mig 15 and see what works, what doesn't and the relative positions of wing and lead compared to your opponent. (it also answers that age old question "where did he go"
We will use Tacview for all future group flights and award scores according to the Tacview analysis.
Tacview also has the ability for on-line debrief so it has a lot of potential to help us develop our skills.
Cost for Standard version is $38.00 Cdn.

Tacview Mission Analysis Format
In case you have already read our AAR from Monday 30/04/18 and missed my update tonight, this is the new format for our post mission analysis. At the end of every group flight, the final paragraph will list a time key of notable events and will form the basis for the award of scores from this point forward. Given the technology that we have, this is the fairest and most objective way to allocation scores, versus our old method of looking for the smoking hole. Note Hawk's "self inflicted - friendly fire", I think he's looking for another medal!!!
