DCS Mission
I created a little DCS mission that allows us to practice most of our skill sets and provides some nice variety.
It's premised on a quick scramble out of the Tonopah Range Airfield north west to the Tonopah municipal airport to stop a combined ground attack covered by an air element (so far I've not added the air cover since I can't do both). You fly with a full munitions load in the Mustang (rockets and bombs) and low fuel. So you need to take off, find your target and conduct a series of passes to pickle your bombs (accuracy is a real challenge) and then switch over for three more passes with rockets (salvos of two or singles). By then, you're low on fuel and out of ordnance. That forces you to land at the Tonopah airfield, taxi into the hanger lines and refuel, rearm and repair any damage from ground fire (the Red force tanks and APCs put up a good scrap so you'll see plenty of tracer). All the while, the Spitfire top cover is tying up the 109s/190s.
Then you need to restart, taxi out and take off to set up for another series of air to ground attacks (assuming you're not super pilot and took out all the enemy tanks/APS the first time).
Another aspect of this scenario is the Blue combat team set up to defend the airport. Should you fail in preventing the ground attack, then you get to witness a great little ground battle (the effects are spot on. I've heard Leopards and .50 Cal firing for real and the sounds and sights are very well done). If you're on the ground, then they attack your plane as well.
I'll tinker with this a bit to see if I can convert it to coop, then if I can find the file, I'll send it off to Wolvie and maybe we can play that some Saturday night in prep for the release of Normandy 1944.

401/450 Squadron Training Mission
So far so good.
Blue Forces: I've added all the necessary client aircraft to accommodate 401 Sqn Red & Blue Section (8 x Spitfire), 450 Sqn Yellow Section (4 x Spitfire) and 442 Sqn Green Section (4 x Mustang). Ground forces include a tank troop and mechanized infantry platoon defending the airport.
Red Forces: I included Rotte I with 4 x FW 190 AI, and Rotte II with 4 x Me109 client aircraft airspawning north of the valley heading south to support Red ground forces. Red ground forces include a recce troop leading and 2 x tank/infantry assault troops following/flanking travelling south through the valley north of the Tonopah municipal airport.
Tested timings and I'm able to commence my first ground attack just as the FW 190s enter the valley so low/high air cover will work nicely. I didn't add any complex triggers just to keep it simple leading up to more creative mission creation once Normandy 1944 is released. Once I find these files, I'll zip them up and send them to Wolverine. Maybe we can drum up some interest for a few additional Blue pilots and four Red pilots in a few weeks time.
(note: my computer seems to run all of these dynamic actions with no stuttering or lag so I'm hoping that it works just as well once on-line with live clients.)
