Flying Tonight
I plan on getting on tonight to do some recon and practice dropping bombs.
I'd like to get back to a regular weekday to meet up if anyone else is up for it. I also want to capture some video to serve as promotional material. If the Warfront God would be so kind as to temporarily allow external views it would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Flying Tonight
We got on and flew a sortie. I couldn't find any info on the wind or speed, direction. At least two of us are planning on being on tonight as well.

Re: Flying Tonight
Wind and wind speed is accessed from a control tower. You need to connect to a control tower first in order to receive it.
To test, spawn in at Wilmington in England and do the following:
Press 'Tab' to access the comms menu and then select 4 for "Mission". This will open up our custom menu system.
Select the Radar option (1) and then select Connect to a tower option (1). This will then list the available towers to connect to. From Wilmington, you should be able to connect to Pinetree which will be the first option (1).
Once you've connected to the tower, you'll be returned to the main menu and option 4 will allow you to receive wind speed and direction.
The system works the same across the map, but you need to be within radio range of a control tower.
This system also gives you access to accurate radar and intercept vectors to both enemy contacts and friendly contacts (useful for forming up or finding your bomber group!).

Re: Flying Tonight
I'd like to join as well. I've just added in all the territory up to the Somme and my initial testing suggested there might be an introduction of lag that wasn't there. Just too many objects and triggers possibly.
We'll need to do more testing, but I think if we're going to include all of France, we'll need to streamline the system OR break the map up into sectors that don't load until one side conquers all the territory available.

At 5:30 this morning I was wishing I had done the same. Squiz made great progress on the 4 towns west of Beauvais? I helped him mop up what was left.
