Chris Roberts wants to bring back space sims
Anyone remember Wing Commander or Freelancer?
Roberts Space Industries
The first time I sat in front of a PC to play a game was in October 1990, and WC happened to be the game.

Yeah, I remember Wing Commander and Privateer and all those.
I'd be wary of this one. It's basically a lottery gamble unlike some Kickstarter games which have a finished or working project that just needs a bit more funding.
I doubt this'll see the light of day.
It does look good though and I'd love to be wrong about it.

I agree with you. His ideas seem far too grand. I might have to wait for a review on this one. I was on the fence with Jane Jenson's kickstarter, but in the end decided not to. If she had mentioned Gabriel Knight it would have been a different story.
I did back Tim Schafer and Ron Gilbert though, no questions asked.

Um, as did I! Got my Adventure Backer t-shirt I've been enjoying the documentary too so far. I backed that, the Wasteland 2 one by Brian Fargo, the FTL one (which has since released and is awesome), and one called Drifter.
