Thanks to Everyone for Playing!
I would like to extend a big thank you to all the pilots who participated in the Finest Hour campaign across all time zones. We had a lot of fun over the last ten weeks and that wouldn't have been possible without players to fly with and against.

Thank you,

The Finest Hour is a great campaign and a great credit to you Wolverine, I am in awe of both the time and commitment you put into the campaign and your technical expertise in building the campaign and resolving those little issues as they popped up.
Since first joining the online community about 12 months ago and flying both the Warfront and Finest Hour campaigns I have been very grateful for the help, guidance and humour of the 401/450 Squadron community. I hope that we can stay as a unit flying CoD and watching each others six.

Re: Thanks to Everyone for Playing!
This campaign was extremely fun and immersive, I just wanted to add my thanks to you all. AND (a bit late) happy B-day Wolverine!
I've been looking at the files you very generously shared, and all I can say is wow! That's beyond my comprehension, but fascinating stuff. The work you've put into this and the knowledge you have of the guts of this game from years of dedication and commitment to this, and to your friends, is nothing short of amazing.
I've been out of the loop for a bit due to R/L and helping with the ATAG projects (which I hope you all know you are MORE than welcome to get in on). I hope we can still get together on Saturdays this winter and continue killing each other. Do you guys play DCS? It would be fun to horse around with some korean war era stuff some day, while we wait to see what the future brings.. Or some stangs vs 109/190 stuff... Or whatever... just thinking out loud..

Thanks Freya. I was hoping to play in the Titans at Twenty-Five thing (I think we've picked up a lot of experience at those heady altitudes over the last few weeks) but I'm unavailable this weekend. I'll be sure to stay tuned in for other events.
I'm not sure about the other guys, but I'm taking a bit of a breather from the game for the next little while for the most part. I might start work on my Spitfire cockpit project I've been thinking about for a few months. I've done a few CAD designs and I think I may have the space to put in a full, paneled cockpit. Might just build it for the fun of it and sell it (401 members get 25% discount off cost if I do!).
I've been watching Battle of Stalingrad/Moscow at little more closely lately and might spend some more time there. I kind of feel that we've exploited pretty much all of the potential of Cliffs of Dover, at least for a while until some things get fixed. We really need properly working roads, vehicles, ships, AI, etc. A more diverse plane-set would be interesting, but without the environment elements to back it up I don't see myself spending as much time with Cliffs anymore. Funnily enough, Battle of Stalingrad has some great environment stuff, but the multiplayer side of things is so crippled that it's difficult to use it. Odd times to be a flight-simmer.
I may have one more idea kicking around for a server map, but we'll see if I can get excited enough about it to make it.

Sorry about my non-appearance for the past month. A skin cancer operation above my left heel forced me to keep my leg elevated to allow the wound to start healing. It's on the mend, so in another few days and I will be mobile for and hour or so each day but apparently it will be another month before it will fully heal.
Thank you Wolverine for effort that you put towards the last campaign (as well as the Normandy campaign). It certainly was the most comprehensive, interesting, challenging, entertaining and trouble free campaign that I had ever flown and each week I always looked forward to the company of 401 Squadron pilots as well as our formidable opposition, Dice, Freya, Torian and the other regulars. It is a pity that more pilots in the flight sim community did not join in, but the A Team always fronted.
Now that I have trained my family and friends not to hold any functions or outings on a Sunday, I hope that we can continue to meet each week as usual on the 401 Sqn TS and suggest that we fly on the SOW server which I understand has an ongoing campaign which uses many of the features that Wolverine developed.
Let's discuss it next Saturday evening/Sunday session.

Re: Thanks to Everyone for Playing!
I am certainly keen to continue flying with the 401/450 squadron crew on Sunday morning (Aussie time, 9 p.m. Saturday Eastern Canadian time) and from the little I know of it SOW seems to be the server that best emulates the Warfront and Finest Hour campaigns.
I think Wolverine has to recognise me as a member of 401 Squadron on SOW so I can spawn in at Northolt but other than that I am good to go. Maybe we can add a little spice by flying some Blennie missions led by Squiz and with Hawk, Stic and hopefully Wolverine, plus a few other guys escorting. Maybe Torian can drum up some blue to intercept.
Look forward to talking on Sunday morning.

Accepted your application on the SoW site, Kooka. You should be good to go.
