If you build it, they will have a sniff

Hi all.

My squadron (Tangmere Pilots) doesn't often dance the full-real fandango, although some of us on a Friday night (after an on/off experience on SOW on Sundays), have been... experimenting.

Anyway, about seven of us invaded the 401 server last night, raising player numbers to - a grand total of eight! And... it was great fun! Once we'd cracked the RDF system, we picked up some Blenheims as they overflew Dover and escorted them towards St Omar. We had to fight off various spoiling attacks from AI 109s as well as from the (excellent) 109 jockey (from Russia, who wished us "happy Victory Day"!) who was also on the server.

Anyway, even on a pretty much empty server, it was an absolute blast, so many thanks! From now on, we'll be working hard on enticing more of our motley squadron to have a glug on the 401 cool-aid.

Sounds like you had a very eventful mission! They won't all be as combat filled...or will they?

Hehe, that's what's good about it. Because you don't know what might happen, even the missions where nothing intercepts you are tense and exciting because you have to keep your eyes out and be fully invested in the mission at all times. Otherwise, the minute you relax is probably going to be the point where the 109s jump your flight.
