Facing a small crisis here.
Sometime on Sunday I realized I had misplaced the thumbdrive which had all my source code. Unless I can de-compile what I had posted to the FTP, I'll be starting from scratch.

So, I managed to de-compile the program. I figure I lost about 20 hours of work. Yesterdays Team Fusion update lit a fire under me though and I should get done in time.

Re: RAF Loadout Manager
So nearly three months later, after much procrastination, I finally have something worth putting up on the FTP site.
There is a 401Squadron.com post in the Barracks with instructions for the FTP site. The file is located under Utilities.
Things to keep in mind:
Make a backup of your user.ini. Typically found in C:\Users\"User Name"\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover - MOD\user.ini
Your AV software may not get along with it. Norton doesn't like it because it is unfamiliar.
Before running it for the first time check that there are no gaps in your user.ini file. Typically there aren't.
Do not name any part of your preset names "ERROR".
Every time you make a change you want to keep don't forget to save.
Whenever you write to the user.ini only the currently selected aircraft is sent.
Make a backup of your user.ini. Just in case you didn't yet.
Features:
Easily manipulate loadouts.
Copy loadout and convergence settings between weapons.
Copy presets between aircraft.
Read from, and write to the user.ini file.
Things I want to add:
"Changes not saved" popup.
Improved error checking.
Write all aircraft to user.ini with one action.
Finish Help.
So, who wants to be a beta tester?

Re: RAF Loadout Manager
Hey guys,
I posted an update to the Loadout Utility to the FTP server.
It now alerts you to unsaved Loadouts. (I noticed that sometime the message will trigger after deleting a preset. Hmmm.)
You can now write all Aircraft to the user.ini with one action.
Comments and Suggestion are welcome.

Good stuff stic! Are you able to fraps a demonstration of using it for Youtube?
Re: RAF Loadout Manager
That's a good idea. As soon as I clean up the buggy mess in the pop ups I'll work on it.

Re: RAF Loadout Manager
Hello StiC
I really like this RAF loadout tool, it's well presented and the accompanying video tutorial made it's use very straightforward. So, I created my loadout preset and saved it to my user file. I checked the file and it contains everything that it should. However, when I run the sim it doesn't pick up my custom loadout which has been written to all 8 RAF aircraft.
What might be the reason for the user file not being picked up? When I first ran the utility, I pointed it to the correct SoftClub - MOD folder and it's there that I am able to write to.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: RAF Loadout Manager
So u could see all your new loadouts in the user.ini ?
Were the old loadouts still in the user.ini as well ?
Do u have Steam Cloud turned off for CloD ?

Re: RAF Loadout Manager
Hello Torian
Yes all the newly written loadout preset is correctly delineated for each of the 8 RAF aircraft in the user file. I didn't have any previous presets at all, so the user file was in fact empty when I first looked at it but now it is correctly populated. I had checked that the Steam Cloud tickbox is ticked so that is working.
Thanks for your assistance

Hey MadDog,
Thanks for the kind words.
Off the top of my head I can only think of two reasons.
1. The game isn't using the same user.ini file you wrote to. Try creating a new, unique preset from within the game and saving it. Then check if it appears in the same user.ini file.
2. I'm not sure, but I read somewhere that single player missions have their own loadouts unless you open the mission in the FMB and add a preset for the mission. Multiplayer allows you to choose any preset though.
I'll have a closer look this evening for you.

Re: RAF Loadout Manager
Yes, single player gameplay doesn't use the loadouts in the same way. The loadouts are pre-determined by the mission designer and do not appear to be changeable in the game (in spite of being given the option it seems).
