IL-2 BoX Updated to 3.001

Big update today for BoX! Kuban is released and if you own it, you'll now get access to the P-39, the A-20, and more + a host of other improvements.

Also....CO-OP has arrived for BoX. I would like to test this out soon and see how it goes! If it goes well, we can look forward to adding WWII flying back into our weekly events. I'm still very much enjoying the Sabre stuff, so I figure we're going to continue with that.

Apparently the AI in BoX has also been improved with this update and it was already the better AI of the 3 main options. Looking forward to trying it out!

Tonight was bbq ribs cooking night and I'm not available tomorrow, but I could possibly get up to something on Sunday night this week!

I did test out a bit of 3.001 just now and it looks pretty good! The graphics look even better with the 4k textures and the new career mode is quite something. I flew one mission and was impressed by the enemy AI. I had it set on easy but the AI enemy was making reasonable choices - they just seemed a little 'scared'. Which is perfect for a novice setting. The enemy AI just seemed inexperienced and nervous and not just stupid or oblivious.

The co-op / dogfight server mode looks very good for our purposes. Throw a few missions into the list, start it up, and people have to pick an aircraft before you launch. The settings also allow to set max ping and such so we can make sure everyone can get in.

So far I'm impressed. I'm very hopeful that we'll start seeing a ton of co-op missions showing up on the forums to download.

The update was a devil (no pun intended) to download - took me three goes. Had a quick look at the A20 - could get into the bombardier spot but the pilot and gunner spots were OK.

Wolverine, I know it's last minute getting back to you, but I'm up for a test of the BoX co-op tonight if you are.
