All guns firing?

I'm probably the last one to find out about this, but it sure was a help to me.

I had done some tests by firing into the water at low altitude, and taking screenshots of the splashes.  What I found out was that only 1-2 guns on the right wing were firing.  I put a question and my screenshots on the ATAG forum, and got this reply from ATAG_Catseye.

My percentage of hits has probably doubled as a result.

The part at the end of each sequence should be changed to fit your circumstances:

Hi Badfinger,
I do all my setups in the user.ini file now once I have one RAF aircraft setup. You can cut and past into all the others.
Here is an example of my setup. I've never had an issue with only partial guns firing. Once you set it up here, it will appear in your loadouts screens and if you have any custom missions made, you will have to go into them and reset your loadouts in the FMB - all your new settings will be available to choose from once you have made them available in the user.ini file.

My convergence is (in metres in the .ini file( 183M (200yds) Horizontal and 550M (601yds) Vertical).

ps. I programmed the RAF guns as a member of Team Fusion and recommend taking a look at my setup of loadouts. Your convergence settings are what you prefer.

Armaments are defined by numbers.
My Catmix is from far left gun to far right gun.

Ball, ball, DW, DW(every 5th round white incendiary), Dw(evry 5th round white incendiary), Dw, Ball, Ball.

I don't use AP as iit is quite innefective in penetrating hard objects as in real life - breaks the skin and thats about all - but it can initiate some pilot kills. Ball and DeWilde (which is ball based) really hammer up the bandit and set fire to it quickly.

Great Post Badfinger,

When Catseye was a member of 401 Sqn, he and I spent some time experimenting with gun ammo and convergence settings. He preferring different horizontal/verticle values, while I prefer to set these at the same value. Interesting note about ball versus AP since I use all AP in my six inboard guns and a combination of one White Tracer/one DW for guns 1 and 8.

I might give the ball another try, since I seem to always have difficulty shooting down AC even at close range. I'll also run a little test on the water with FRAPS to check the splash pattern, but I'm fairly certain that all guns are firing. I'll follow up after work tonight.
